•   Om Shri Sairam

The Year 2018-19 was a very successful year for READS

Monsoon Anubodh School for the Hearing Impaired children is doing well. We have 35 Hearing Impaired children in the School and 09 Special Educators. 218 H.I. children have been integrated into Normal Schools till now.

The Three Doorstep Schools in the Slums of Jaipur are all functioning well. We have about 65 Underprivileged Hearing Impaired children in the schools. All the children are fitted with free Hearing Aids and are given free education. This year six of our children were integrated in normal schools.

We have started D.Ed. Spl. Edu (H.I.) course in 2002. The other very good news is that, we have got affiliation for extension of B.Ed. Spl. Edu. (HI) course from University of Rajasthan and Rehabilitation Council of India.

READS has built teachers quarters and rooms for parents to reside, when they come for long term therapies from out of town. The floor plan was approved by Jaipur Development Authority and the foundation stone was laid on 17th February 2016.

The Diploma in Special Education H.I. programme is doing well and all the seats are full. Many of the graduated students got placed in government jobs like IIIrd grade teacher and Sarve Shiksha Abhiyan.

We would like to welcome Mr. Brijesh Narayan Mishra and Ms Vandana Gupta, who have joined READS as a lecturer for the Diploma and B.Ed. Special Education (HI) course from July 2019.

READS Public School Dundlod Board Examination results of class 10th was also very good, two of the students from batch 2018-19 Jyotika Runalia got 97.17% and Tanu Priya Singh got 96.50% Krishna khatod of class 12th got 86.20%. This is a great achievement for our teachers for which they were given a cash prize for working very hard to achieve this extra ordinary result. We would like to congratulate both girls and the entire staff of RPS Dundlod for this Success.

What really made all of us very happy that these children come from the poorest strata of society and they showed such excellent results. It just goes to prove that if you put in hard work and sincerity you will definitely get results no matter what background you are from. Full marks to my chief administrator Mr. A.V. George, teachers and team for working so hard to bring this excellent result. The Management Body of READS was very happy to see this result and gave the teachers cash prizes and good salary increments.
